This colour combination makes supporters' hearts beat faster: long stripes in Black and Red. Barca and Liverpool were beaten in those shirts – the stuff Leverkusen dreams are made of. That feeling is revived 20 years later. This idea from the fans was taken up by Bayer 04 and kit supplier JAKO.
It is the details that stand out: The club badge with its historic shape is in black-and-white, white contrasting insets on the collar and sides give the shirt a dynamic character. The kit is completed with black shorts with white design elements and red socks with black stripes and the lettering 'B04'.
With the new home shirt, Bayer 04 and JAKO are committed to sustainable production as well as reflecting a successful history. The new kit, like all Leverkusen shirts to follow, is made from recycled polyester micro mesh. The sustainable material is particularly breathable and light.
The new shirt is available now in sizes 128 to 5 XL from the Bayer 04 Fan shop, at www.jako.de and in the Bayer 04 shop in Leverkusen-Wiesdorf (Wiesdorfer Platz 9).
