Pro contract for Jan Boller

Jan Boller has often been involved with the first team squad both in training sessions and friendlies and recently he was in the line-up for the first time in the DFB Cup game against Heidenheim and is now part of the senior squad: Jan has signed a first team contract with Bayer 04 to 30 June 2020. His squad number is 33.

The 18-year-old has worn the Black and Red shirt since 2013 and he has made 16 appearances for the Bayer 04 U19s in the current U19 Bundesliga West campaign. He has also been very much in demand with the Germany youth teams. Boller (pictured above in the middle with Lucas Alario and Sam Schreck in the game at Heidenheim) has earned 15 caps for the Germany U17 team and he was a first choice in central defence at the 2017 European Championships in Croatia as well as the World Cup in the same year in India. He played alongside Kai Havertz in the Bayer 04 U17s in 2016 when they won the Germany U17 championships with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the final.

Bayer 04 Women reach 40 points with comfortable home win over Freiburg

The Werkself returned from the near one-month break in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga with a convincing victory at home. Roberto Pätzold's side beat SC Freiburg 4-1 on Sunday afternoon, with goals from Katharina Piljic, Estrella Merino Gonzalez, Cornelia Kramer and Carlotta Wamser ensuring a 13th win of the season at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion. The Black and Reds, who are now on 40 points, move up to fourth place at least overnight.
