Price reduction due to technical failure at JAKO
A technical failure in programming at Bayer 04’s new kit supplier JAKO led to Bayer 04 fans briefly being able to buy the new Werkself shirt for a reduced price at the JAKO online shop.
A discount on certain items was mistakenly applied to the whole product range.
JAKO quickly corrected the error but a number of people had already submitted their orders. “The shirts will be sent out to the customers as it involves legally binding sales contracts. We can only apologise to Bayer 04,” said Tobias Röschl, sales director at JAKO AG.

From 1 January 2027: Wolfgang Nickl to succeed Werner Wenning as shareholder committee chairman
There will be a change at the top of the Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball GmbH shareholder committee at the end of the year, with Werner Wenning stepping down from the Bundesliga club's control committee on 31 December 2026. Wolfgang Nickl, who has been part of the committee since March of this year, will take over the chairmanship on 1 January 2027.
