The kick-off will be at 17.00 CEST. The match will be played at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium or at the Kurtekotten Performance Centre. It will be the first of five matches in the pre-season. Two games will be played during the training camp and another two friendlies are set to follow the return to Leverkusen. Next season starts at the beginning of August with the first round of the DFB Cup.

SV Wehen Wiesbaden were relegated from the second division in the summer of 2020 and finished sixth in the third division last term. The team under head coach Rüdiger Rehm, who has been at SV Wehen since February 2017, won the Hessen Cup last weekend and they are thereby qualified for the DFB Cup.
