Pohjanpalo sidelined with metatarsal injury
Bayer 04 will probably be without the services of Joel Pohjanpalo until December.
The Finland international picked up the injury in yesterday’s training session in Leverkusen after returning from the Champions League game in Monaco and he faces a long spell on the sidelines. Pohjanpalo suffered the metatarsal fracture in his right foot without the involvement of any other player. There will be a six-week rest period until the 22-year-old can start his rehabilitation programme.
