Pohjanpalo, whose contract at Leverkusen runs to 30 June 2022, has only made one appearance for the Werkself this season due to a number of injuries. The 25-year-old forward is hoping the move to Hamburg will give him more match time in view of Finland's qualification for Euro 2020.
