Piero Hincapie undergoes successful operation in Cologne
Bayer 04 will have have to manage without defender Piero Hincapie at the start of the season.
The 21-year-old Ecuador international, who suffered a fractured metatarsal in the game between Ecuador and Bolivia on 17 June 2023, today underwent a successful operation at the orthopaedic clinic in Cologne under Dr. André Morawe.
Hincapie will complete his rehab at the Bayer 04 Werkstatt in Leverkusen. He is expected to be out of action for ten to twelve weeks.
