The collaboration reflects the continued synergy between the club and parent-company on international initiatives. It’s the first preseason camp ever by a Bundesliga club in the football hotbed of Brazil.
Arturo Sanchez, President Bayer Consumer Health Latin America and Asia Pacific commented on the importance locally of this collaboration: "Working together with Bayer 04 Leverkusen in key international markets like Brazil is a natural extension of our global presence. Leveraging our regional headquarters, human resources and in-market campaigns allows us to create meaningful experiences for fans locally and strengthen the Bayer identity both on and off the field. There is a real sense of pride in welcoming Bayer 04 to Latin America, and this tour will inspire tremendous anticipation for the upcoming Bundesliga season.”

Club CEO Fernando Carro added: "Having Bayer as our parent company is an enormous asset when undertaking ambitious international initiatives like this. Their capacities and global infrastructure provide us the ability to connect with audiences worldwide and bring Bayer 04 to new communities with authenticity and purpose. Bayer was a huge part of our success with recent visits to Mexico City, St. Louis, New York and Sao Paulo. Now we look forward to another successful tour to kick-off the 2025 preseason this month.”
In addition to the friendly match and training camp, the club has officially opened the Bayer 04 Football Academy in São Paulo on July 5 on the campus of Bayer Brazil. This academy run by Paulo Sérgio will serve as a cornerstone for the club's long-term commitment to brand visibility, youth development and football excellence in Brazil. “It reinforces the commitment stated in our mission - Health for all, hunger for none. Sports has a transformational power in the society, and both Soccer Academies - in Sao Paulo/SP and Belford Roxo/RJ - offer opportunities for kids in such communities not only to be healthier, but also to shine in this sport that is a national passion for Brazilians”, said Marcio Santos, CEO of Bayer Brazil.

The full schedule of events, training sessions, and community activities during the Bayer 04 Brasil Tour will be announced soon.
