Palacios sidelined with muscle injury
Bayer 04 Leverkusen will have to manage without Exequiel Palacios in the next few matches. The Argentinian midfielder suffered an injury to his left thigh in yesterday's Bundesliga match at Hertha Berlin (2-2).
Palacios went off on 41 minutes and he was replaced by Charles Aránguiz. The injury means the player will miss the opportunity to play for Argentina at the end of September in the international fixtures against Honduras and Jamaica in the USA.

The welcome in Brazil could not have been more fitting: Paulo Sergio, with a small Bayer 04 delegation, welcomed the Werkself to Rio de Janeiro on the beach in front of the team hotel on Tuesday morning local time. Under clear blue skies, players, coaches and staff joined together for a group photo and then it was off to the rooms and breakfast.
