New analysis tool: chip-in-ball technology from KINEXON

Bayer 04 are now relying on fully automatic analysis technology from KINEXON Sports & Media. The Champions League participants and the international sports technology company, with its head office in Munich, are pooling their innovative expertise and are aiming to work together to raise the tactical insights in training and matches to a new level.

The Bayer 04 coaching staff will analyse the long phases of possession in training and in matches using the new ball tracking technology. In practice, player and ball metrics from selected training sessions will be recorded live and fully automatically by KINEXON and then evaluated.

The Bayer 04 Women's team are in the Round of 16 of the DFB Pokal. The team led by coach Roberto Pätzold beat Regional League Karlsruher SC 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. A strike by Kristin Kögel (24') and an own goal from Neele Beck (72') secured a well-deserved victory for the visitors.
