Monamay leaves: Defender joins Jong PSV in the Netherlands.
Bayer 04 have transferred central defender Madi Monamay to Dutch second division side Jong PSV.
The second team of the champions PSV Eindhoven have signed the Belgium U19 international with immediate effect. Monamay joined Bayer 04 in the summer of 2022 when he came to Leverkusen from the top-flight Belgian side KRC Genk. The 18-year-old's contract with the champions of Germany and DFB Pokal winners ran to 30 June 2026.

Bayer 04 were left empty-handed in their opening Bundesliga game of 2025/26 after Hoffenheim came from a goal down to win 2-1 at the BayArena. Jarell Quansah had given Erik ten Hag’s side an early lead on his league debut before Fisnik Asllani levelled midway through the first half. Tim Lemperle hit the winner for the visitors early in the second period.
