A range of buildings arose from 1905 to 1912: the recreational hall, the old town hall and the Bayer department store in Wiesdorf, the administration building Q26, the directors villa for Carl Duisberg and the Bayer Casino in Leverkusen, which was officially opened on 29 November 1913.
The "factory casino" was built on the park side of the Kaiser Wilhelm Allee in the context of the new main administration Q26 and the facing Duisberg villa. It was designed to replace the makeshift and now too small officials casino in the former Leverkus Villa and also included a skittle alley, beer hall and accommodation from other buildings in the Leverkusen Park.
The building planned and constructed by the in-house construction office at the paint factories integrated catering options for the management, officials and guests as well as for the workers. The big dining room was named locally as the "kale cathedral".
