The Werkself are currently unbeaten in seven Bundesliga games and that is only surpassed by Mainz 05 (nine). In a Bundesliga table from matchday 13 of this season, the Werkself would be top with 35 points on a goal difference of +19. And the visitors from Saxony have also rediscovered their form recently: RB Leipzig beat FC Augsburg 3-2 in their last outing for the second Bundesliga win in succession after suffering three defeats in the four previous fixtures. The Red Bulls have only once clocked up more wins in succession this term: from matchday 12 to 15 (four).

In addition, Bayer 04 are inviting all fans to take part in the official club survey on the subject of ‘Fan mobility at home games at the BayArena.’ This is essential for the current climate record as well as determining the carbon footprint of the club. The survey takes a minute, is voluntary and anonymous.

There is a relevant offer for all fans who travel to the BayArena by bike: Anyone who wants to make sure their bike is fit for the spring is invited to drop by on the North West side of the BayArena. Bayer 04 partner 2Rad-Prumbaum is offering free safety checks for all bicycles – and small repairs can be carried out on site. In addition, there are bike stands at the BayArena that can be used during the game. So get on your bike to support the Werkself!

Bayer 04 requests everybody to arrive at the BayArena in good time to allow fans to get to their seats in time for kick-off and to avoid long queues at the turnstiles.

Schlager is the ref

The German Football Association (DFB) has appointed Daniel Schlager as the referee for today's match. The 33-year-old has been in charge of six matches involving the Werkself to date. His assistant referees are Sven Waschitzki-Günther and Arno Blos with Sören Storks on duty as the VAR official.

It was hard work and really tight at the end. But last weekend saw a 3-2 victory against FC Augsburg. The third win in succession for RB Leipzig. "We are back on track," said the former Leverkusen player Kevin Kampl. While who scored his first goal in nearly three years in the game and provided the assist for Timo Werner to make it 3-1. #B04eSports: Leverkusen hunger for DFB ePokal trophy

The #B04eSports players now have the next chance to win a trophy. After their elimination in the quarter-finals of the VBL Club Championship Final 2025/26, the German club championship, Marc and Sean Landwehr will compete with seven other teams in the finals of the DFB-ePokal 2026 with prize money totalling €65,000. A special award for special social commitment. At this year's ceremony for the Sepp Herberger Awards in Wolfsburg on Monday night, the DFB Sepp Herberger Foundation recognised Bayer 04 in the social rehabilitation category. The Bundesliga club received the prize, together with €12,000, for its great service to inmates, particularly in the Wuppertal-Ronsdorf prison.
