Mario Hermoso undergoes operation in Madrid

Bayer 04 defender Mario Hermoso underwent a successful operation in Madrid today, Tuesday. The player on loan from AS Roma suffered a ligament injury in his chest during the 2-0 defeat against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Round of 16 in the Champions League.

Hermoso will be out of action for Bayer 04 until the end of the season. The Spaniard will complete his rehabilitation at the Leverkusen Werkstatt, the club's rehabilitation and training centre at the BayArena, by agreement with AS Roma.
