Karim Bellarabi sidelined with knee injury
Bayer 04 Leverkusen will have to manage without forward Karim Bellarabi for several weeks.
In addition to the muscular problems, which ruled the striker out of last weekend's 2-1 defeat in the Bundesliga against FC Augsburg, an MRI scan today (Monday) revealed a lateral meniscus tear in the left knee. Bellarabi will undergo an operation this week. The 32-year-old will probably be out of action for six weeks.

Central defender Emilie Bragstad is leaving Bayer 04 Leverkusen with immediate effect to join top-flight Swedish club Hammarby IF. The 23-year-old had a contract with the Werkself to the summer of 2026. The two clubs have agreed not to reveal details of the transfer.
