Karim Bellarabi sidelined by muscle injury

Bayer 04 Leverkusen will have to manage without Karim Bellarabi for several weeks. The Werkself forward suffered a torn muscle in his left thigh training with the Leverkusen first team today, Tuesday 15 February.

The 31-year-old Bellarabi is expected to be out of action for three to four weeks.

2-0 in Rome – Werkself impress in semi-final first leg

Bayer 04 put in a highly disciplined performance as they won 2-0 at AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg. Florian Wirtz (29') and Robert Andrich (74') scored the goals at a sold-out and noisy Stadio Olimpico. The Werkself therefore take a two-goal lead into the return leg at the BayArena next week and remain unbeaten this season after 47 competitive games.
