Herrlich accepts fine
The sports tribunal of the German Football Association (DFB) has imposed a 12,000 Euro fine on Heiko Herrlich for his actions during the 1-0 DFB Cup win at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
In the closing stages of a hard-fought DFB Cup Round of 16 tie on 20 December 2017, Herrlich went to ground in the 75th minute with the score at 1-0 following slight contact from the Gladbach player Denis Zakaria. The 46-year-old immediately apologised to the player and officially after the game.
Bayer 04 and the Werkself head coach have accepted the DFB decision.

Piljic strike seals win for Bayer 04 Women against Jena
Thanks to a masterstroke from Katharina Piljic, the Werkself secured their eleventh win of the season in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga. On Sunday evening, coach Roberto Pätzold's team beat FC Carl Zeiss Jena 1-0. Midfielder Piljic scored the winning goal with a volley into the corner from the edge of the box (19’) in front of 633 spectators at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium - and ensured that Leverkusen moved up to fifth place in the table for at least one night with 34 points.
