Puerta has made 27 Championship appearances for Hull City this season, including 20 starts.
Bayer 04 signed Puerta from the Colombian club Bogota FC in January 2023 and initially loaned him out to Bundesliga 2 side FC Nürnberg. In the 2023/24 campaign, with Bayer 04 winning the double in Germany, Puerta made ten appearances for the Werkself in the Bundesliga and Europa League.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have completed the signing of French U18 international Axel Tape. The 17-year-old moves to the Bundesliga club on a long-term contract from Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the 2025/26 season.
