This will be the final friendly for the Werkself before the first competitive match of 2017 on Sunday 22 January when Hertha Berlin visit the BayArena at 15.30 CET in the final fixture of the first half of the Bundesliga season. As part of the training camp in Orlando, Bayer 04 have two matches in the Florida Cup against Estudiantes de la Plata from Argentina on Sunday 8 January and Atlético Mineiró from Brazil on Wednesday 11 January.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen has a new coffee partner. The club has agreed a long-term partnership with the Bocholt-based roastery Imping, running to 30 June 2031. The exclusive partnership with the family-run business includes the installation of fully automatic coffee machines at the BayArena, as well as the right to supply and serve coffee products in the business areas during Werkself home games.
