
The sports tribunal of the German Football Association (DFB) have imposed a fine in the sum of €15,000 on Bayer 04 for the behaviour of the club's fans following an indictment by the DFB control committee.
Ahead of the kick-off in the Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on 28 January 2017 a number of pyrotechnic devices were set off in the Leverkusen section of the ground.
Bayer 04 have accepted the decision and it takes immediate effect.

Black and Red stand out. Under the slogan ‘Diversity under the Cross’, Bayer 04 took part in Pride on the Rhine at the weekend alongside the queer fan club “Bayer 04 Junxx”. The club mascot, Brian the Lion, and several members of staff were also in attendance, championing diversity and solidarity.
