The 41-year-old has been with the company since 2006 and has long-term experience of project management in complex construction projects. That includes being the senior project manager in the reconstruction of the BayArena between 2007 and 2009. Her particular expertise is the strategic planning and implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects.
One key future project is the Bayer 04 Campus: The club is aiming to build a new, modern training centre, which will provide optimum conditions in the future for the first team, women's teams and youth players. The planned extension of Autobahn 1 and associated changes in land use highlight the urgency of the project. However, for Bayer 04 it is essentially about making a clear commitment to the redevelopment of the location. The aim is to remain ambitious at home and abroad and stay competitive with high quality infrastructure into the future.
Other roles for Dannenberg include construction activities in and around the BayArena – particularly in terms of the long-term licensing situation as well as operational health and safety issues. In addition, the Talent House in Leverkusen is to be established under her leadership – a key element of youth development that will offer a sporting and educational home for the young female and male players at Bayer 04 and TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
"In Anne Dannenberg we have a proven expert with in-depth understanding of the club and high technical expertise taking over the management of TecArena-Plus GmbH. She has an outstanding network and knows exactly the challenges of the location. She will make a significant contribution to making the Bayer 04 infrastructure fit for the future," said Fernando Carro, CEO of Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball GmbH. "On behalf of Bayer 04, I would like to thank Ulrich Wölfer for his long-standing commitment and work."
Felix Duden remains alongside Dannenberg as managing director of TecArena-Plus GmbH with responsibility for the areas of strategic and operational facility management and grounds maintenance.
