
Coach Christian Wörns' final squad, which comprises 20 players from 14 clubs born in 2007, was announced on Monday afternoon. Francis Onyeka, on loan from Bayer 04 to VfL Bochum last season, leads the team as captain.
Goalkeeper Jesper Schlich, Ferdinand Pohl and Emmanuel Chigozie Owen - all from the Leverkusen U19s - are on standby.
Germany face Denmark (28 June, 21:00 CEST), hosts Wales (1 July, 21:00 CEST) and Spain (4 July, 15:00 CEST) in Group A. All of Germany's matches can be watched live and free of charge on YouTube on RTL Sport. The channel will also be broadcasting on its streaming service RTL+.
The top two teams from each of the two groups of four will qualify for the semi-finals (8 July). The European Championships final will be played on 11 July (20:00 CEST). The competition also serves as a qualifier for the 2027 U20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The four semi-finalists in the European Championships automatically qualify for the U20 World Cup.

Captain Edmond Tapsoba gave his new (and old) teammate a friendly shove forward to take in the acclaim from the fans. Paulina Tomasiak’s maiden Bundesliga goal helped Bayer 04 Women to their second away victory of the 2026/27 Google Pixel Bundesliga as Roberto Pätzold’s side won 2-1 at Hoffenheim on Matchday 3. Loreen Bender had scored inside two minutes on Friday evening before the hosts levelled, but Tomasiak came off the bench to secure all three points at the Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion.
