Carro elected to the DFL Supervisory Board

Fernando Carro, Bayer 04 CEO, has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of DFL GmbH. This was the result of the election at the General Assembly of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga e.V., which brings together representatives of the 36 German professional clubs, on Wednesday in Berlin.

Fernando Carro: "I accept the unanimous election to the Supervisory Board as a great vote of confidence. There are many challenging issues facing German and international football. I am delighted to be able to make a contribution on behalf of Bayer 04 Leverkusen in this important body."

The six-member DFL Supervisory Board, the controlling body of DFL GmbH, will therefore be made up of the following members over the next four years: Chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke (Borussia Dortmund), Deputy Chair Oliver Leki (SC Freiburg), Fernando Carro and Dr Eric Huwer (Hamburg SV), Ralf Huschen (Hertha Berlin) and Anne Baumann (SV Darmstadt 98).

The nominated candidates were selected in advance from a list of election proposals.

In addition, the seven-member DFL e.V. Executive Committee and the six-member DFL e.V. Licensing Committee were elected at the General Assembly in Berlin. All information can be found HERE.
