Benjamin Henrichs joins AS Monaco

Benjamin Henrichs is moving to the Côte d’Azur. Bayer 04 have agreed the transfer of the full back to French top-flight side AS Monaco. Henrichs has signed a five-year deal with the French club.

The 21-year-old homegrown defender was at Bayer 04 for 14 years, moving up through all the youth teams at Leverkusen from 2004 before  breaking through to the Werkself first team in 2015. "Benny has played football under the Bayer cross since he was a kid and he achieved some great successes. We wish him all the best for next phase of his life abroad," said the Leverkusen managing director sport, Rudi Völler.
