
The 21-year-old homegrown defender was at Bayer 04 for 14 years, moving up through all the youth teams at Leverkusen from 2004 before breaking through to the Werkself first team in 2015. "Benny has played football under the Bayer cross since he was a kid and he achieved some great successes. We wish him all the best for next phase of his life abroad," said the Leverkusen managing director sport, Rudi Völler.


The long-standing successful collaboration between Bayer 04 and the transport service provider wupsi GmbH has been expanded: From January 2026, 100 wupsi bikes with Bayer 04 branding will be available for hire throughout the city of Leverkusen. They will complement the many existing offers and services that provide key support, especially for fans travelling to and from home matches at the BayArena.
