Bayer 04 transfer Calhanoglu to AC Milan
Hakan Calhanoglu leaves Bayer 04 for AC Milan. The Italians accept the transfer terms set by the Werkself where Calhanoglu has been under contract since 2014.
The Turkey international was under contract at Leverkusen up to 30 June 2019.
"The three years at Bayer 04 were very emotional. I'd like to thank the club, the staff and above all the fans. The support has been sensational especially during my four-month ban. I'd now like to write a new chapter in my career. I'll always be happy to look back my time at Bayer 04," said Calhanoglu.

After a week in the Algarve, the Bayer 04 Women returned home on Saturday afternoon. The Werkself had six training sessions, two friendlies and a lot of time together as a team. Roberto Pätzold's team will be back in action in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga next Friday for the start of matchday 15.

No points in the Kraichgau: the Werkself lost 1-0 away to top-six rivals TSG Hoffenheim on Bundesliga Matchday 18. Wouter Burger scored the only goal with a free kick in the ninth minute. In an uneventful contest, the Werkself tried hard to find an equaliser but were repeatedly thwarted.
