The 18-year-old U23 international joined Leverkusen at the start of the year from Djoliba AC in his native Mali. Traoré made his first competitive appearance for Bayer 04 last season, playing for the U19s against Villarreal CF (2-3) in the Round of 32 tie in the UEFA Youth League. “We see Issa Traoré as a great talent who now needs to gain experience and plenty of playing time in professional men’s football,” said Bayer 04 Director of Football Kim Falkenberg. “If Issa continues on his current path, he can look forward to a bright future at Leverkusen.”
Farid Alfa-Ruprecht is going out on loan from Bayer 04 Leverkusen to Bundesliga 2 side Hertha Berlin. The pacy winger will be at the Berlin club for one year.
