Bayer 04 kick off 2025 with friendly against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen

The champions of Germany and DFB Pokal winners Bayer 04 Leverkusen start 2025 with the friendly against SC Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. The Werkself entertain the Regional League side from the Lower Rhine at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium on Sunday, 5 January, with the kick off at 12.00 CET.

The first phase of ticket sales for the game begins today, Monday 16 December, at noon CET. It is open to season card holders and Bayer 04 Club members. According to availability, tickets will go on open sale from Thursday, 19 December, also at noon CET.

Prices for the game are €10 for a seated ticket and €5 for a ticket in the standing areas. In addition, Bayer 04 offer children's tickets for €1 in seated and standing areas. There are no other concessions.

Fans and members can purchase up to a maximum of four tickets.
This ticket does not include travel on public transport for this game.

Queue for online shop:

A waiting room for the shop will open at 11.45 CET.
Fans will be able to enter the Bayer 04 online shop from noon in random order.
The time fans enter the digital waiting room does not affect the order. There is no advantage to queuing early.
All other fans join the back of the queue from noon.

The ticketing section requires adherence to the General ticket terms and conditions (ATGB) for the purchase of Bayer 04 tickets.

After a focused first-half display with a number of presentable chances, Patrik Schick crowned a textbook counter to hand the Werkself the lead on the hour (60’). The Czech rounded off his brace when he headed in from a corner just 144 seconds later. Bayer 04 maintained their lead with aplomb to achieve a good position for the return leg in Leverkusen.

A bitter end to the fifth showdown of the 2025/26 VBL Club Championship as the #B04eSports team failed to take any points in the three remaining matches of the preliminary online round of the fifth and final showdown, missing out on the offline round. They can no longer take points in the overall table. Bayer 04 slipped out on the top eight, so direct participation in the final event for the German Club Championship is no longer possible, with Bayer 04 having to contest the play-offs.
