Bayer 04 keeper Lennart Grill joins Union Berlin on loan

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have loaned out goalkeeper Lennart Grill to Bundesliga club FC Union Berlin.

The U21 European Championship winner, who has a contract at Leverkusen to 30 June 2024, has joined the East Berlin club on a year-long loan. “Lennart was a brilliant addition to our goalkeepers last season since his return from Brann Bergen,” said Bayer 04 sporting director Simon Rolfes. “The experience abroad in Norway has helped him develop. In Berlin he can focus on ambitious targets at a considerably higher level.”
