Bayer 04 extend contracts with Daum and Bigdeli

Bayer 04 have agreed long-term contract extensions with Marcel Daum and Schahriar Bigdeli. Daum has signed a contract with the Werkself as analysis assistant coach to 30 June 2023 thus, like fitness coach Bigdeli, extending his original deal to 2020 by another three years.

"Marcel and Schahriar both play a significant role in the Peter Bosz coaching team," said Rudi Völler in explaining the move. "They occupy extremely important posts for our sporting success where we have taken care of continuity," explained the sporting managing director.

Coach Kevin Brok's depleted side - including five players who were part of the senior squad for the Champions League game in the evening - lost 6-0 on Matchday 5 of the UEFA Youth League.
