For Lomb, the contract extension is “proof the club values and trusts me. I know my role very well and do it with loads of passion and motivation. I will continue to justify the confidence shown in me,” declared Lomb. “I know how important it is for a professional team to have a high level of quality in all positions in training. The German Football Association (DFB) has officially recognised Bayer 04 as a women’s talent support centre. As announced by the DFB, 1 FC Köln, Union Berlin, RB Leipzig and Hamburger SV are also certified as performance or talent support centres from 1 January 2026 in addition to the Werkself.
