Bayer 04 agree new deal with keeper Niklas Lomb

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have given Niklas Lomb a two-year extension to his contract due to run out in the summer. The new deal runs to 30 June 2024. The 28-year-old shot-stopper has been at Bayer 04 since 2008.

Lomb joined the Werkself as a 14-year-old from SC West and he has played on loan for third division teams SC Preußen Münster and Hallescher FC as well as for the second division club SV Sandhausen. "We really value Niklas and his qualities," declared sporting director Simon Rolfes. "Over the years, he has contributed a lot to the success of our senior squads with his special team spirit and great commitment in training every day. We will continue to back him."

"I'm happy about my contract extension," said Niklas Lomb. "I know my role very well and I want to help push the team forward and to achieve as high a level as possible in training."
