Baumgartlinger suffers torn knee ligament
Bayer 04 will be without the services of Julian Baumgartlinger for two months.
The Austria captain tore a medial ligament in his left knee in a challenge just before half-time in the DFB Cup tie away to CfR Pforzheim. The injury was diagnosed following an MRI scan late on Saturday evening (18 August). The 30-year-old will not have to undergo an operation.

Bayer 04 sign top talent Kennet Eichhorn
Bayer 04 have signed 16-year-old defensive midfielder Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha Berlin. The Germany U17 international is joining the Werkself from the Berlin Bundesliga 2 club on a long-term contract. Eichhorn made 19 appearances for the Hertha Berlin first team last season, scoring two goals.
