Für Roger Schmidt ist die Partie gegen das italienische Traditionsteam ein wichtiger Prüfstein nach acht harten und intensiven Tagen im Trainingslager im SalzburgerLand. Noch am Morgen hatte er eine 70-minütige Einheit mit vielen Torabschlüssen anberaumt, es wird interessant sein zu sehen, was sein Ensemble davon schon in die Tat umsetzen kann. Für Julian Baumgartlinger wird die Partie aus doppelter Sicht besonders: Einerseits stammt der 28-Jährige aus der Gegend und wird sich auf viel Applaus einstellen dürfen, andererseits ist er nach seinen muskulären Problemen wieder einsatzbereit.
Die Fiorentina im Kurzcheck
Die AC Florenz schloss die vergangene Saison in der Serie A auf einem starken fünften Platz ab. Trainiert wird die Squadra in Lila übrigens vom ehemaligen Dortmunder Bundesligaspieler Paulo Sousa. Für die Fans von Bayer 04 wird es am Stadion einen separaten Eingang samt Sicherheitskontrolle geben, die Anhänger in Schwarz und Rot werden aus Sicht des Eingangs rechts hinten (vor dem Gästehaus) stehen.

This special event showed once again how strong Bayer 04 are as a team: As part of ‘BarmeniaGothaer gives joy’, the Werkself players Edmond Tapsoba, Ibrahim Maza and Christian Kofane supported the sale of individually designed T-shirts for a good cause at the Fanwelt on Thursday. Several hundred fans came to take part in the charity campaign. Leverkusen's main sponsor BarmeniaGothaer donated the proceeds to the Fondation Edmond Tapsoba, which helps people in Tapsoba's home country of Burkina Faso in their challenging everyday lives.
