Für Roger Schmidt ist die Partie gegen das italienische Traditionsteam ein wichtiger Prüfstein nach acht harten und intensiven Tagen im Trainingslager im SalzburgerLand. Noch am Morgen hatte er eine 70-minütige Einheit mit vielen Torabschlüssen anberaumt, es wird interessant sein zu sehen, was sein Ensemble davon schon in die Tat umsetzen kann. Für Julian Baumgartlinger wird die Partie aus doppelter Sicht besonders: Einerseits stammt der 28-Jährige aus der Gegend und wird sich auf viel Applaus einstellen dürfen, andererseits ist er nach seinen muskulären Problemen wieder einsatzbereit.
Die Fiorentina im Kurzcheck
Die AC Florenz schloss die vergangene Saison in der Serie A auf einem starken fünften Platz ab. Trainiert wird die Squadra in Lila übrigens vom ehemaligen Dortmunder Bundesligaspieler Paulo Sousa. Die Ticketpreise für das Spiel gegen Florenz: 15 Euro für Erwachsene, zehn Euro für Jugendliche (sieben bis 17 Jahre), freier Eintritt für Kinder bis sechs Jahre. Für die Fans von Bayer 04 wird es am Stadion einen separaten Eingang samt Sicherheitskontrolle geben, die Anhänger in Schwarz und Rot werden aus Sicht des Eingangs rechts hinten (vor dem Gästehaus) stehen.

Kasper Hjulmand has led the Werkself back to winning ways and is back in the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League with Bayer 04 after the 3-0 win against Villarreal on Wednesday evening. Bayer 04 have ended Artem Stepanov’s loan deal at Nürnberg and agreed a new loan to Utrecht in the Netherlands. The Ukrainian striker did not play as much as hoped for at the Bundesliga 2 club and will now continue his development in the Eredivisie for the rest of 2025/26.
