Alario joins Eintracht Frankfurt
Lucas Alario is leaving Bayer 04 Leverkusen to play for Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 29-year-old centre forward has played for the Werkself since 2017 making 159 appearances and scoring 56 goals. The Argentina international signed for Bayer 04 five years ago from the top South American club River Plate.
"We thank Lucas for his commitment to Bayer 04 over the past few years. His six goals in the second half of last season made a valuable contribution to us achieving qualification for the Champions League," said Simon Rolfes, currently sporting director and from 1 July sporting managing director at Bayer 04. "We wish Lucas all the best for the future."

Bayer 04 recognised as DFB talent support centre for women
The German Football Association (DFB) has officially recognised Bayer 04 as a women’s talent support centre. As announced by the DFB, 1 FC Köln, Union Berlin, RB Leipzig and Hamburger SV are also certified as performance or talent support centres from 1 January 2026 in addition to the Werkself.
