But now it's important for him to play regularly and take the next step," said Bayer 04 sporting director Simon Rolfes. "Ayman needs match practice at a high level. Azhil was in the senior squad under head coach Peter Bosz four times in the Bundesliga last term. He was also in the squad for one game in the DFB Cup and one in the Europa League. The defensive midfielder was also captain of the Bayer 04 U19 side in the U19 Bundesliga West.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen has extended the existing partnership agreement with EDO Personalservice GmbH and, at the same time, expanded its collaboration with the Cologne-based company. The official partner in the Business Club has been upgraded within Bayer 04’s partner network. The revised and enhanced support for the club has initially been agreed for two years, running until 30 June 2028.
