Adli fractures collarbone – Lunev also injured

Bayer 04 Leverkusen will have to manage without forward Amine Adli and goalkeeper Andrey Lunev over the medium term. 22-year-old Adli suffered a fracture to his left collarbone in the Bundesliga clash with FC Augsburg on Saturday. It was the first appearance for the France U21 international after five months out injured. 30-year-old Lunev, who replaced suspended number one keeper Lukas Hradecky against Augsburg, suffered a tendon injury in his right thigh when kicking the ball upfield. That was the diagnosis for the two Werkself players today (Sunday).

Lunev is expected to be out of action for six weeks. Adli, who will not have to undergo an operation, will probably be available again after the international break in September according to current assessments.
