€5,000 fine for Bayer 04
The sports tribunal of the German Football Association (DFB) has imposed a €5,000 fine on Bayer 04 Leverkusen in a written judgement due to the unsporting behaviour of the club’s supporters.
At the 2022/23 DFB Cup First Round tie at SV 07 Elversberg (3-4) on 30 July 2022, Bayer 04 supporters threw bottles and drinks containers onto the pitch. The club carries the costs for the proceedings. The verdict is final.

Bayer 04 sign Napoli defender Miguel Gutiérrez
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed Spanish left-back Miguel Gutiérrez from Napoli. The 25-year-old has signed a contract with the club to 30 June 2031. Gutiérrez came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid; he moved to Italy a year ago from Girona, and he played a key role for Napoli with 36 appearances. The big Italian club finished last season as runners-up in Serie A.
