Bayer 04 Leverkusen have given U17 player Francis Onyeka a long-term contact. The club has agreed a deal with the 16-year-old to 30 June 2027.

Bayer 04 appoint Jefta Bresser as new academy head

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have taken an important step in the further development of the club's youth teams with the appointment of the Dutchman Jefta Bresser. The qualified head of academy and football coach takes over as head of the Leverkusen Performance Centre on 18 October. He therefore fills a vacancy created in the summer with the former head of the youth section Thomas Eichin taking up the role as 'Director Licensing' at Bayer 04.

Bayer 04 sign top talent Ukpeigbe from Real Madrid

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed the right-back Melvin Ukpeigbe. The 16-year-old Spanish youth international joins the Werkself on a season-long loan from Real Madrid's U18 team and he will initially play for the Leverkusen U17s under the Bayer Cross. Bayer 04 do have an option to buy the talented youngster.

2023/24 home shirt on sale now

Bayer 04 have been playing "with the cross on the chest" for a long time. But that has never appeared more clearly than on the new home shirt for the 2023/24 season. A distinctive red cross on the black shirt is a real eye catcher. It gives the kit a unique character and strong connection to the roots of our club and city, which both originate from the Bayer Works. The new home shirt is available now at the Bayer 04 fan shops as well as on our online shop.

A full programme for the Month of May: The Werkself go into the business end of the season in the Bundesliga and the Europa League, the Bayer 04 Women's team are looking to secure fifth place during the run-in to the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga campaign. The U19s and the U17s will test themselves in the main round of the special tournament with other top youth teams from all over Germany.
