
Ruhr Sport Cup: Bayer 04 U11 v Alemannia Aachen 12-1
At the start of the second half of the season in the Ruhr Sport Cup the U11s show themselves to be goal-hungry. The Bayer 04 talents were quick to turn their superiority into goals and they were 5-0 up at the end of the first third.
The team coached by Sebastian Lang did not let up before the end and succeeded in securing a clear victory with a 12-1 scoreline at the end. It was the tenth win in eleven games.

The U10s also put on an impressive display against Aachen. After going 4-1 up in the first period the Bayer 04 lads let matters slip and quickly conceded three goals.
In the final third of the match their hosts got back on track to register a convincing victory "Except for the phase when we lacked concentration there were some great moves and finishing," said coach Oliver Schwartz.
U13 Youth Cup: Bayer 04 U13 v Alemannia Aachen 8-0
In the Youth Cup, the U13 side did not want he rang behind the younger teams and they also clocked up a very clear win. Bayer 04 were already 5-0 ahead at the break.
With good moves and concentrated work against the ball the U13 team and a convincing 8-0 victory against Alemannia and after two games in the second half of the season they now have six points with 19 goals scored and none conceded.

Lying third in the Bundesliga, the Werkself made a faltering start in 2026 after the winter break, but gradually rediscovered winning ways and, as in the previous campaign, were among the top 16 in Europe and the top four in the DFB Pokal. In the Bundesliga, the Werkself also remained in the race for Champions League qualification right to the end. However, because setbacks repeatedly crept into the Werkself's performances between good displays and crucial games, it was not quite enough to secure a UCL spot in the end. Following the final match of the 2025/26 season, the prevailing feeling was naturally one of disappointment after missing out on qualification for the Champions League. The Werkself finished the Bundesliga in sixth place, meaning they'll start the 2026/27 campaign in the Europa League. "But to talk negatively about everything now because of that would be wrong," stressed captain Robert Andrich following the final game, knowing that the past year at Bayer 04 was marked, more than almost any other, by the start of a new era and the courage to change – and in particular, the belief in a positive direction. The Bayer 04 Women’s squad for the coming season is continuing to take shape: Centre-back Emily Wallrabenstein has moved to Leverkusen from Eintracht Frankfurt’s reserve team, who play in the Women’s Bundesliga 2. The 19-year-old has penned a contract until 30 June 2028.
