Training camp and friendlies – six players called up
While the season was over for most players after the last match of the 2020/21 campaign at SC Sand on Sunday, six players from the Bayer 04 women's squad are now on international duty.
Sylwia Matysik is set to play for Poland in two friendlies against Finland and the Czech Republic. Hungary with Henrietta Csiszár, Lilla Turányi and Dóra Zeller have two friendlies against Serbia. Milena Nikolić, in the Bosnia-Herzegovina team, has a friendly against Bulgaria. Switzerland, with Lara Marti, have a short training camp – an internal training match is planned instead of an international. Victoria Pinther is on standby for Austria.

Former Borussia captain with international experience: Jonas Omlin profile
Welcome to Leverkusen, Jonas Omlin. Bayer 04 have signed the 32-year-old goalkeeper on loan from Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach until the end of the season. Managing director sport Simon Rolfes described the Swiss shot stopper, signed by the Werkself in reaction to the long-term absence of first choice keeper Mark Flekken, as an "internationally experienced keeper." In addition to a Spotify playlist that fans can use to get in the mood for the Champions League nights, there is also a tour pass with stickers for the respective UCL matches exclusively for Bayer 04 Club members.
