Positive Covid-19 test: Bundesliga Women in self-isolation

One of the Bayer 04 Leverkusen Women’s team tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday 17 November. Subsequently, the Leverkusen local health authority classified the whole team including coaching and support staff as contact I persons. As a result, the complete group have now been told to self-isolate for two weeks.

The player involved has no symptoms as yet. The tests of all the other members of the team who travelled to the Bundesliga away game at SV Meppen last Sunday were negative.

As the period of self-isolation is set to last to 29 November, next Sunday’s Bundesliga away fixture (22 November) at Bayern Munich has been postponed.
