Performance diagnostics are on the agenda this week. A majority of the Werkself – the international players will join in later on – plus one or two youth players will be put through their paces at the BayArena on Saturday and Sunday. The first session on the training ground will be on Monday 27 June.
The Werkself training sessions on pitches one and two at the BayArena are open and there will training every day in the first week up to and including Saturday (2 July) at 10.30 CEST. Additional sessions at 15.00 CEST are planned for Tuesday 28 June and Thursday 30 June.
Due to a customer event in and around the BayArena, car park P3 between the stadium and the training pitches is inaccessible up to the end of June.
Calling Bayer 04 families – this matchday is all yours! As part of the Family Matchday on Sunday 20 September, not only will the Werkself take on RB Leipzig at 15:30 CEST but there will also be a variety of activity zones for young and old alike be set up around the BayArena. What’s more, genuine Bayer 04 rarities await Black and Red fans at the Fantrödel flea market. By taking part in the fan travel survey, Leverkusen supporters can help the club gather important information and even win a jersey before the Werkself hit the ground running against Leipzig on the pitch. With a flawless away record under their belts, the Bayer 04 women’s team travel to SC Freiburg. On Sunday 20 September (16:00 CEST), coach Roberto Pätzold’s side will be aiming for three points again, six days after their narrow defeat to Bayern Munich. From the 2027/28 season, the Women’s Bundesliga will be organised by an independent league association. Following the unanimous decision taken at the DFB Bundestag (national conference) on Friday afternoon, the league’s separation from the DFB is now official.
