The two other participants in the multi-nation four-team tournament were two teams from Denmark. ‘Deto’ clocked up a comfortable 4-1 win against the player from ‘R288esport’ and the three-time world champion in Black and Red lost the other one 2-0. There was 4-2 defeat against ‘Future FC’ and the second game ended all square at 2-2. The team from the capital Copenhagen picked up the most wins on the night.
‘Deto’ is back in action on Sunday, 5 April for the second matchday in the ‘Bundesliga Home Challenge’ of DFL an. Bayer 04 faces the virtual opponents SG Dynamo Dresden. This time he will have a different Werkself player alongside him as the successor to Adam Stanilewicz. Update to follow…

Captain Edmond Tapsoba gave his new (and old) teammate a friendly shove forward to take in the acclaim from the fans. The returning Frenchman was typically reserved in thanking the supporters but was clearly emotional about what was happening.

Bayer 04 produced a dominant and impressive 4-0 win over Union Berlin as they picked up three points in their first home game of the 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign. Exequiel Fernández opened the scoring after only 41 seconds, with Facundo Medina doubling the lead before the half-hour mark.
