Tickets for the away game at SC Freiburg (Saturday, 3 February 15.30 CET) went on sale to Club members on 2 January. Open sale started on Thursday 4 January.

England tour: Friendlies vs. Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United
Bayer 04 Leverkusen usher in the final phase of their pre-season preparations for the 2026/27 campaign with a friendly against Premier League side Nottingham Forest. The Werkself face the “Tricky Trees” on 12 August at 20.45 CEST (7.45 pm local time) at the City Ground, home to the storied English club. Head coach Carles Martínez’s side will then travel further north, where they will face Forest's league rivals Newcastle United to round off their tour of England. The match against the team featuring Germany internationals Nick Woltemade and Malik Thiaw takes place on Saturday 15 August at 4.00 pm (3.00 pm local time) at Newcastle’s atmospheric St James’ Park. New seating for the BayArena - donation and reuse of existing seats
A fresh look for the BayArena: The Bayer 04 stadium will have new seating in the form of folding seats for the 2026/27 campaign that will ensure significantly improved seating comfort and simplified movement within the rows of seats. As part of routine replacement after 17 years, fans of the Werkself were able to purchase the existing seats, used to witness the first German league title in the club's history. In addition, a large proportion of the seats will be donated to charitable projects, primarily in the local region. Bayer 04 fans can look forward to new, functional folding seats for the season opener at the beginning of August - still in the club colours of black and red, of course.
