The team currently fifth in the Bundesliga have been permitted a much reduced allocation for the fixture against Bayer Leverkusen. In accordance with state government regulations, only 750 fans will be able to attend the game at the Europa Park Stadium that opened two months ago.
For that reason, there will be no away tickets.

See the matchday information for entry requirements. The Seoane team will play fourth-placed Hoffenheim in front of up to 15,000 spectators. The kick-off is on Wednesday, 15 December, at 20.30 CET (stadium opens: 18.30 CET).

Bayer 04 were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Bayern Munich in an eventful Matchday 26 fixture in the Bundesliga. Aleix Garcia had given the Werkself the lead inside six minutes, but Bayern levelled in the second half through Luis Diaz, despite Nicolas Jackson having been send off before the break. Diaz was then dismissed himself as Leverkusen pushed for a winner, which failed to materialise as Jonas Hofmann saw a late goal ruled out.
