Bayer 04 farewell to Vladlen Yurchenko and Marlon Frey

In addition to Stefan Kießling, Bayer 04 will say farewell to another two Werkself players at the BayArena ahead of the game against Hannover 96 on Saturday: Vladlen Yurchenko and Marlon Frey are set to leave Bayer 04 in search of new challenges.

Yurchenko joined Bayer 04 from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2014. The Ukrainian made 18 appearances and scored three goals in his four seasons with the Werkself. The 24-year-old has had a number of setbacks due to injury.

Marlon Frey has an even longer Bayer 04 history. The 22-year-old played for all the youth teams at the club before moving up from the U19s to the first team squad in 2015. This season he returned to Leverkusen after a year on loan at FC Kaiserslautern. The midfielder made twelve appearances for the Werkself.
