The new Bayer 04 head coach Gerardo Seoane will welcome his squad for the start of the pre-season on 5 July. And now it is clear which opponents Charles Aránguiz and Co. will open the 2021/22 black and red season against: Last season's surprise team Union Berlin. The first meeting with champions Bayern Munich is on matchday eight in the middle of October and is followed a week later by the derby at FC Köln (22 to 24 October).
