Tin Jedvaj fractures shin

Bayer 04 will have to make do without tin Jedvaj at the start of the season: The defender suffered a hairline fracture to his right shin in the tackle during training on Thursday morning 6 July.

 The injury will be treated without an operation. The Croatia international will be unavailable for approximately ten weeks.

Rüdiger Vollborn has been at the club for 40 years, he holds the record number of Bundesliga appearances for the club (401) and is the only Bayer 04 player to have won both the UEFA Cup (1988) and the DFB Pokal (1993).
