The VBL Club Championship 2025/26 continues. After starting the year with three defeats, the Werkself finally claimed their first three points of 2026 with a 1-0 victory over SV Werder Bremen on Matchday 19 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Matchwinner Lucas Vázquez was particularly delighted afterwards with his goal, his first for Bayer 04 and a crucial one. There were other pleasing individual stories too, including a much-missed returnee. The relief afterwards was great, but the players and staff immediately switched the focus to more important tasks ahead. The Werkself Review.
