Germany coach Stefan Kuntz will have to manage without two Werkself pros for the U21 European Championship qualifiers. Both the captain Jonathan Tah as well as Benjamin Henrichs have had to withdraw from the squad.

While full-back Henrichs has had to withdraw due to a throat infection that caused him to miss the Werkself's Bundesliga game at Augsburg on Saturday, central defender Tah picked up an injury in that match. He suffered a bruised back and is now recovering in Leverkusen. The Germany U21 team have two European Championship qualifiers on Thursday 9 November against Azerbaijan in Baku and on Tuesday 14 November against Israel in Tel Aviv.

Sven Bender will undergo a thorough medical  examination on Monday to discover whether the Werkself defender has suffered a broken rib as feared in the Werkself match at Augsburg.
