
While full-back Henrichs has had to withdraw due to a throat infection that caused him to miss the Werkself's Bundesliga game at Augsburg on Saturday, central defender Tah picked up an injury in that match. He suffered a bruised back and is now recovering in Leverkusen. The Germany U21 team have two European Championship qualifiers on Thursday 9 November against Azerbaijan in Baku and on Tuesday 14 November against Israel in Tel Aviv.
Sven Bender will undergo a thorough medical examination on Monday to discover whether the Werkself defender has suffered a broken rib as feared in the Werkself match at Augsburg.
